Mission Statement
AFHA volunteer program seeks to engage volunteers and organizations to work together to conserve and develop our shared forest heritage.Goals
- Maximize volunteer and organizational efforts for the benefit of our forest communities.
- Promote volunteerism
- Cultivate partnerships
- Provide mechanism to bring volunteers and partners together and support their efforts
- Build community awareness of our shared forest heritage, AFHA and our partner organizations, and our volunteer program.
- Raise awareness to encourage volunteerism and partner participation
- Utilize traditional and non-traditional resources to cultivate community understanding
- Increase visibility for AFHA and our volunteer program
- Provide benefits for partner organizations.
- Assist partners in utilization of best practices for volunteer recruitment and retention
- Accomplish partner projects and help increase their capacity
- Improving of efficiency through pooling of efforts
- Build relationships between partners
- To support the AFHA mission.
- Accomplish AFHA projects to promote conservation, historic preservation, heritage and cultural development, heritage tourism, community development and related education and awareness
- Build AFHA capacity by completing projects and providing in-kind match
