The AFHA consists of 16 counties in the eastern region of West Virginia and 2 in western Maryland. The counties are: Garrett and Allegany, MD; Tucker, Preston, Grant, Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy, Morgan, Pendleton, Randolph, Upshur, Barbour, Braxton, Pocahontas, Webster, Nicholas, and Greenbrier, WV.
