AFHA AmeriCorps Program

The AFHA AmeriCorps team works with partner organizations to conserve forests and communities. AmeriCorps members help enhance assets to benefit communities by providing community service on conservation, heritage development, and historic preservation projects.

AmeriCorps is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, an independent federal agency whose mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. AFHA AmeriCorps now recruiting for 2015-16 team

(mid-AUGUST 2015:) Only a few positions remain open, mostly in Tucker County, including cultural programming, community development, and conservation field work. See heritage positions link and inquire to for specifics.

AFHA AmeriCorps is now recruiting for the 2015-16 term to start in September 2016. We are looking for conservation, heritage, community development, and historic preservation members for a one-year service commitment. Living allowance and education award are provided.
